Suggest Treatment For Spots In The Vaginal Area

Posted on Fri, 30 Sep 2016
Question: I have a spot on the outside top of the vaginal area. I even went to a skin specialist...
but I don't think he looked at it very much. It resembles a planters wart in feeling it...but I don't think that is what it is. Does this cost money?

Brief Answer:
please attach pictures of the lesion.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for the query to HCM,
I would like you to upload pictures of the lesion as an attachment so that i would be able to form an opinion over the lesion and would be able to guide you further.
Such lesions can be warts, moles, or folliculitis.
Are the lesions painful or has been increasing in size ?
How long has it been that you have started noticing them?
Please attach the pictures with the follow up.
Regards

I have to go to work and I can't do a photo right now...although there is very little to see, since it appears to be under the skin. I first thought it was like an ingrown hair, or even a pimple...but there is no way to get it to release anything. 'Time' for a 70 year old gal goes swiftly...so I have noticed this for at least two years, but maybe five. I think it is bigger than it originally was....and that is a concern....but it hasn't grown very much. There is no pain unless I push on it, and that is extremely minimal. It acts almost like a planters wart...that is my closest comparable. Thank you for your time and trouble and I will try and get you a photo soon. Sincerely, XXXXXXX

let me know when you have the pictures ready. As this has been a long standing lesion, one may actually get an FNAC done to learn the histology and then confirm the diagnosis as well.

Detailed Answer:
FNAC= FINE NEEDLE ASPIRATION CYTOLOGY, where with a small needle , little tissue is taken from the lesion and sent to histopathological examination which confirms the origin and cause definitively.
