Suggest Treatment For Spreading Skin Infection And Vitiligo

default
Posted on Mon, 1 Feb 2016
Question: hi i have been given antibiotics for a skin bacteria inection under around my neck and chin area. I was not told what this was but since doing research i believe it is impetigo. The rash has since spread to my bum cheeks and was in my groin and quite painful but i think the antibiotics sorted this. I have finished the course of treatment and is still on my bum cheeks and since then i have noticed random dry yellow skin in different areas of my body, one small area on my nose and one small area in my groin V line and was very painful in that area but not to press or release and then a small yellow crust with a small red circle around it. I am a regular crystal meth and Gbl user and am trying to quickly prepare for a crash so that I can boost my immune system up. My immune system has been a mess for a quite some time due to a dramatic amount of series of unfortunate events causing major stress levels to increase and my vitiligo to spread. The trouble is is that I cannot afford to take any time off work as I am self-employed and have already eaten through savings from the bad luck I have had in recent time so i cannot crash for too long so can you suggest anything that might help. I hope you can help and understand my rant, thank you

Dear Madam

Welcome to this site
I am Dr V XXXXXXX
I am a Sr Dermatologist and will try to help you as best as possible.

The problem referred to by you seems to be due to Staph infection. The best relief can be had by the following measures

1 Mupirocin cream or oint locally thrice daily
2 Amoxy-Clav 625 twice daily, oral antibiotic
3 Multivitamin preparation
4 Pain killer if necessary. Brufen is a good choice.

Apart from these, please take care of your diet, hygiene, and blood sugar levels so that recurrences can be avoided.

I am sure you will be benefited with the advice.

My best wishes for your early recovery. In case you need another guidance, pleas write again.
