Question : My husband has been diagnosed with Squamous and Basal Cell Carcinoma on his chest that looks like a cluster in about a 3"x 4" area and it looks like more have popped up. United Healthcare has denied him having a PET scan saying they wanted him to have a CT scan first. Now we have been told that they have denied the CT scan even thought they wanted him to have that first. Does this mean they will also decline his radiation treatment?
Brief Answer:
Insurance company will not decline radiation treatment
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Since your husband has been diagnoed with squamous and basal cell carcinoma on his chest insurance company cannot deny his radiation treatment because that is the main treatment for this type of cancer for which he will aso need admission in a hospital and may require 5 to 7 days of stay
