Question : cause of brief stabbing pain on left side of head. only lasts for short time-10 to 30 seconds. only occurs once or twice a day.

In most of cases, it is considered as primary headache, in other words, no underlying causes are found.
Since they last shortly and are unpredictable about timing, it is difficult to treat them.
Indomethacin is found to improve this type of headaches, if taken prophylactically.
