Question : I was diagnosed with lung cancer it read Chest/Mediastinum: there is a 1.6 x 1.3 cm lobulated right upper lobe posterior segment nodule with mild uptake XXXXXXX SUV 2.4 Left lung base calcified granuloma. Centrilobular emphysema. No mediastinal/hilar adenopathy. aberrant right subclavian artery coursing posterior to esophagus. stage 1A given 3 options: surgery remove half lung dangerous do to my health history, wedge take out the mass only may re-occur and radiation?

As malignancy is confirmed,you need definitive treatment.Treatment for stage 1 lung carcinoma is surgery and radiotherapy.
Most likely,wedge resection of tumour is appropriate for you.
Extensive surgery like lobectomy may increase complications and it is not preferred in patient with compromised lung status.It depend upon patient's clinical status.
Only radiotherapy treatment is advised in those patient who have serious medical complications and not fit for surgery.
You may need adjuvant radiotherapy later on due to possible local metastasis or due to left out tumour margin.
Other findings like calcified granuloma,centrilobular emphysema are benign.
Aberrant right subclavian artery is a benign finding.
