Question : HI, thx for showing me how to ask questions. My cousin was diagnosed with ov ca III. To be honest, I thnk she took too long to make her initial decision how and where to go.
she completed some holistic treatment, including low does chemo...her treatment failed. Now she is trying to decide whether to have chemo again, first or have surgery. she feels awful. I have had some experiences with cancer, me, my spouse, my Dad, but, as I told her, I am no expert, tho I do try to look into things as thoroughly as possible. Today she asked my advice. Where can I find stats on survival, with surgery and with chemo, the order in which things work best, etc.....

                                    Brief Answer:
Ovarian cancer
Detailed Answer:
Hello and thank you for asking
First of all it is good option if she is candidate for surgery, that's mine longer surviver .For sure in some cases the chemiotherapy it's first choice before surgery, but it is decided by oncologist.
Allsow it's important to know if surgery it's palliative or curative, because that makes sense in survival rate. The fact that the first chemiotherapy doesn't had results it's not good predictor for the prognosis and survivor rate.
Hope this helps you
Regards
