Question: My daughter, 49, was recently diagnosed with liver cancer. Tests revealed that a small part of her colon in the upper area near the liver a small part of the colon, a few inches, I understand, a small tumor that spread to the liver.
I am told that because the liver was not the "primary" source of her cancer and the colon is, she cannot get a liver transplant.
She started the initial chemo therapeutic treatment last week at the University of Minnesota Cancer Center.
Can you describe what the latest and
most successful chemo drugs are for cancer my daughter has and the treatment process? Thank you.

Brief Answer:
Hello dear. There are many options

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear. I have gone through the details. I understand your concern. So its a stage 4 colon cancer. There are a no of options between chemotherapy and targeted drugs as well. Chemotherapy will be either a FOLFOX or FOLFIRI protocol. Along with that targeted drug like avastin or erbitux can be added. So there can be 4 combo like folox plus avastin, folfox plus erbitux, folfiri plus avastin, folfiri plus erbitux. Any of the combo is equal in efficacy. Prior to chemo, test like kras nras has to be done to decide the choice of targeted drug.
Thanks and regards
