Detailed Answer:
Hi Subramaniam,
Thanks for asking.
I am Dr. Prakash HM and I will be answering your query.

Looking at the clinical history and query, my opinion is as follows:

1. Ciplox-TZ is an antibiotic used to treat infectious diarrhea. If you have loose stools, its ideal treatment. If you had loose stools for two months, you would have been heavily dehydrated and I don't expect it.

2. It can help in other way by killing all the bacteria and as you take your derolac, it could replace it with probiotic bacteria. Gas production in colon is due to undigested food, increased fermentation bacteria and low fiber diet.

3. Complete course of antibiotics. Then start derolac again. Chew food properly. Increase soluble fiber in diet, predominantly fruits. Gas formation should reduce. Also need to have a look into diet, as specific food can increase gas production, maybe due to malabsorption.

4. Due to prostate problem, you will require more pressure to pass urine. The increased abdominal pressure first affects large intestine/ colon releasing gas. Not to worry.

Complete the antibiotics dose and follow the above methods.

Take care.

Hope it helps.

Any further queries, happy to help again.

its for liver protection.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for asking again.

Reheptin is commonly used for liver diseases.
Its rich in few nutritional supplements. Patients with alcoholic history can be prescribed for liver protection.
Without liver function reports, cannot comment on this.
