Question : Hi I have been having a stomach upset for the past week. I do not having diarrhea but I have loose stool with a foul smell. I also have a nasty taste in my mouth and mild abdominal discomfort, like wanting a bowel movement all the time. I do notice sometimes a sore throat too. I went to my GP today and he prescribed Ciproflaxin.
Brief Answer:
Good choice, take additional medicines
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
I think you are under a right antibiotic and will help you for both the problems of an intestinal infection ( loose stools with foul smell) and sorethroat.
I would advise you to take additional medicines if you are not yet taking :
Activated Charcoal tablets.
PPI or Ranitidine.
Probiotics.
Plenty of oral fluids and sterilized water.
Home-made fresh foods.
Once the intestinal infection is brought under control other symptoms may get settled automatically.
I hope this answer helps you.
