                                            the cause is important
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
in most cases a doctor will try to treat a disease, not just the symptoms, so the cause of this symptom is important in this regard. I can't say much about the cause though because I only know you're nauseous. You haven't mentioned any details, like when it started, if it's constant or it comes and goes, are there any associated symptoms, etc or perhaps you already know the cause (for example side effect of a drug).
Symptomatic relief can be found in drugs that increase the motility of the stomach like metoclopramide or domperidone. These drugs prevent nausea too. Taking one tablet about half an hour before eating is the right way to use them. Depending on the cause, other drugs may be indicated. For example for patients who receive chemotherapy, drugs like ondasetron may be more useful.
I hope you find my comments helpful!
Kind Regards!
