Question : I believe I might have strep throat...do I need to be seen by a doctor? I am running a fever. I am a baker/cake decorator. Can I go to work tomorrow or am I contagious.

After going through the history, l do understand, that you are suffering from Upper Respiratory Tract Infection.

The initial days of infection will be of viral in nature, which gets resolved with simple home remedies and symptomatic treatment.

Now its seems to be quite number of days since the above symptoms started, hence, it would be wiser to consult the doctor for a thorough evaluation and management.

Also, drink plenty of warm water, do steam inhalation and avoid coffee/smoking.
