Question : I shared a "ring pop" with my granddaughter on Wednesday of this past week(today is Sunday) after i flew home on Thursday evening she was diagnosed with Strep

Thanks for your query.

The streptococcus strains which affect the children may not affect the adults. Need not worry.

Anyway to be on safer side do gargle with an antiseptic solution like CHLORHEXIDINE thrice daily. This will not only prevent the infection but also cures if the infection is in its initial stage.
