Question: I have had alot of stress and trauma-and have had years of dental infections leading to tooth loss. Recently had another tooth removed that had an abcess. My heart hurts when I breathe-I wonder if the infections over the years have damaged my heart

Hi and thank you for asking to HCM!

Over the years dental infections may lead to heart damage. To exclude (or prove) heart damage I recommend doing a cardiac ECHO.

If there is no evidence of heart damage you have nothing to worry about.
