Question : Unfortunately, over the past month and a half, I've been on antibiotics for a few different reasons (sinus infection, yeast infection from taking sinus infection meds and food poisoning). Now, I feel like I'm coming down with another sinus infection. Is there anything I can try before having to go back to the doctor again? I'm experiencing a stuffed nose, post nasal drip and cough. I really don't want to go another another antibiotic but this infection is wearing me down.

Hi
Thanks for posting the query
After going through the history I do understand you are suffering from recurrent sinusitis. Ordinary nasal decongestants and antibiotics alone may not suffice in treating this problem.
You would require steroid nasal spray such as momentasone or fluticasone for nasal decongestion and control of allergy related symptoms.
Also, do steam inhalation, use saline nasal spray and drink plenty of warm water.
Avoid chilled food and beverages, coffee and smoking.
Hope I have answered your query; I'll be available for the follow up queries.
