Suggest Treatment For Sudden Dizziness, Tongue Sore And Pressure In Head

default
Posted on Thu, 28 Jan 2016
Question: Whenever I eat, during mental work, or sometimes just randomly I get a feeling of pressure inside my head, especially forehead and stuffiness or blockage/resistance in sinus, lightheaded dizzy, and sometimes sore tongue. My blood pressure is 130/80, no allergies detected in blood tests, I eat a clean vegetable and chicken diet no wheat, sugar etc. What could the reason be? I don't have anxiety or depression as other than these symptoms I don't have any stress in my life. Thanks.

Your symptoms may be migraine related with headache, dizziness, aggravating on work. Please just go through the following questions and answer them for a better assessment:

Is there any history of nausea, vomiting, sensitivity to light or sound?
Any family history of migraine?
Any aggravating factors like missing meal, decreased sleep, sunlight?

Other possibility may be sinusitis related frontal sinusitis causing pain over forehead and tenderness on pressing area over eyebrows.

Yes, it is not migraine, no history of it.

I have attached a CT scan performed by my doctor - no fluid in sinus i was told. the inside of my nose is reddened however.

tongue is also yellow at back with elongated growths and is sore at the frontal 1/4 area. ruled out fungal as tried antifungals in mouth and oral tablet but no change.

condition started after taking phenoxymethylpenicillin for suspected mouth bacteria. no fix though and resulted in dry mouth, foamy saliva and the other symptoms i mention.

pictures of CT front and from below face, and inside of mouth photoattached.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Welcome back to HCM.

In view of CT findings and symptoms it is advisable to take Tab AMITRYPTILINE for few weeks as it will decrease headache and relieve any anxiety associated.

It can be started 10 mg night dose initially and then increased to 25 mg gradually. It causes some sedation and dry mouth but will be minimal in night doses.

Let me know how you stay.
