Question : Felt fine when I went to bed last night, later than normal. Woke up did a few things and then laid on the floor to stretch as I always do. The room began to spin and I felt very dizzy when I sat up. Had to wait a minute or so before I could stand up. Was either standing or siting for most of the day. Felt better. Tried laying on the floor again and the same thing happened. What is wrong?

Brief Answer:
Inner ear dysfunction.

Detailed Answer:
Hello and thanks for using HCM.

I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Attack of dizziness and room seeming to spin after changing body and head position are most likely related to inner ear dysfunction.

Conditions to consider include benign paroxysmal positional vertigo, labyrinthititis (viral infection of equilibrium apparatus, drugs side effects) etc.

Changes in blood pressure may cause dizziness too.

It is necessary to get evaluated by an ENT Doctor in order to have a correct understanding of your condition.

Hope you found the answer helpful.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care.
