Question : My ankle is swollen some bruising and warm to touch -- I've also have had a annoying cough that doesn't want to go away -- I run out of breath after a short conversation with people ?? Perplexed ?

DVT with Pulmonary Embolism.

Welcome To HCM. I am Dr Anshul Varshney. I understand your concern.
My answer yo your question is casual but take it as a medical emergency.
You might have developed Deep Vein thrombosis (DVT) leading to Pulmonary embolism as a complication causing you breathing difficulties.
Please go to ER now and let them perform a color Doppler of your Leg along with CT Angiogram of your pulmonary vessels.
