Brief Answer:
keloid formation

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing to us.
I have seen the attached pictures.
It looks like excessive scar formation also called as keloid.
It happens commonly with big injuries.
For itching you can try cetrizine which I usually prescribe in my clinic.
This itching will settle down soon and nothing to worry.
If swelling increases or becomes painful better to consult your doctor.
Wishing your child good health and speedy recovery.

Brief Answer:
will take time avoid ointments

Detailed Answer:
The scar will modify in a few weeks
Ointments will only make it worse. Avoid them.
If not improving in a month you can plan minor surgical removal of excess scar tissue.
