Suggest Treatment For Swelling And Pain In Ankle After Physical Abuse

Question: I was the victim of assault and batttery by a male nurse in a famous houspital in So CA. I was then put in 4pt restraints while the nurses figured out what to do with me. The restraint on my left ankle is noted in the records...as being put on too tight and the older male nurses took me to the basement and used a sequential compression device to restart the circulation. About Oct. 1, it was swollen big and has remained swollen about 3/4 football side since then...three months. What to do? The veins on top of my left ankle look cut off or broken off... The attacker above used 3 hospital bracelets on my right hand to cut my top-of-hand veins off at the wrists. Then he "screwed them up my right forearm 9" and same on left forearm 7" He seems to have destroyed most of the capillaries in my forearms...eccymosis, said the females in their Confidential Charts...every single nurse did everything she could and the 62 ear old other male...to cover up for the guy. The leader female had 12,600 mgs of pantoprazole poured into my IV. It is said my "great genetics" saved me from all that. But now, for three months, my leg is swollen...I have had 3 doctors run the little ultrasound thing over my lower leg and there are NO blood clots. Just the endless swelling with a touch of pain... Thank you,

Brief Answer:
Use Compression stockings and Daflon

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX,
Extremely sorry to hear your ordeal
It could have been injury to the veins and lymphatic channels which could have lead to this. For Lymphedema and Venous stasis I usually advice Class II Compression stockings to be worn on the limb at all times from below upwards along with Tab Daflon 500 mg twice daily. This should be carried on for three months and you should keep your limb elevated above your heart level for as long as possible in a day. Discuss about this with your doctor.
These are the only measures that can and will help decrease the swelling other than using sequential compression pumps daily.
Do try the above therapy and let us know how it works with you.
