Question : Hi. My boyfriend and I had some relatively rough sex 6 days ago. 5 days ago we drove 12 hours straight. 4 days ago, I noticed my perineum and posterior vaginal wall are hard, swollen and very painful to sit or walk. Is this serious, or did I just bruise it? The pain is similar to how I felt after I had my son.

Brief Answer:
Most likely bruises

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Thanks for using Healthcaremagic.

Although rough sex can cause injury to perineal area but it is never serious unless some other instruments were used. The penis no matter how hard it hits it does not lead to serious injury.

It is possible that pain was due to long drive coupled with rough sex.

In my view take proper rest and hot water baths to relieve it earlier. Meantime you can take simple pain killer like Ibuprofen or naproxen which is available over the counter.

I hope this helps you.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
