Question : I started getting sores on my tongue and around lower left gum. Now my tongue has a large bump in the middle toward point of tongue. About half of tongue appears swollen.

I have read your query and understand your concern . As far as soreness and large bump on tongue is concerned it can be due to sharp edges of teeth , Glossitis , Nutritional deficiency , Bacterial or viral infection .

Can you please upload picture of your tongue so that I can give you proper diagnosis and treatment plan.

In the meantime do warm saline rinses . Drink plenty of fluid . Avoid hot and spicy food stuff . Maintain proper oral hygiene . Don't take stress .
