Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome and thank you for asking on HCM!

Regarding your concern, I would explain that your blood pressure values are within the normal ranges (except for 141/67 which is a little above the normal limits), but it is important to determine the possible cause of your swollen legs.

There are different causes of swollen legs:

- heart failure
- renal or kidney impairment
- electrolyte imbalances
- chronic vein insufficiency in the lower limbs
- certain drug intake.

For this reason, I would recommend consulting with your attending physician and performing some tests:

- a resting ECG and cardiac ultrasound to examine your cardiac function and structure
- a chest X ray study
- some blood lab tests (complete blood count, PCR, sedimentation rate, blood electrolytes, kidney and liver function tests, fasting glucose, blood osmolarity)
- a Doppler ultrasound of the leg vessels, if suspicions of possible varicous veins are raised during physical exam.

You should discuss with your doctor on the above issues.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
