Question : My left arm is swallen, painfull. No redness. Sonogram came out negative. The dr said just take tylenol 500 mg 2-3 times a day. No helping

How do I do that. The arm looks normal, but painfull. 3 months ago went er, sonogram was negative. Sonogram done last wk. negative.

I can understand your concern.

This could possibly be an infection of the soft tissue of the arm.

A short course of antibiotics will help to reduce the swelling and pain.

I generally prescribe Oral pills of Tab Cephalexin 500 mg one pill twice a day for 7 days on patients with similar symptoms.
