Question : I slammed my finger in a pretty heavy duty door and I put in ice. it's very warm and swollen I just would like to know what's wrong with it

To find out what is wrong with it, an x-ray should be done. It may be broken or not. Symptoms of both are pretty the same. Just the healing time is much longer in case of a fracture. And it may need some surgery.
So please consult a surgeon and have an x-ray done.
