Question : About 10 days ago left knee swollen think due to arthritic reaction to use.
Took Ibuprofen and paracetamol until last friday night
Knee now seems ok can walk well and no pain but still mild swelling can not fully pull back. Locks straight ok.
Problem is that for last few nights go to bed fall asleep normally but wake up after an hour or so with sensation of very cold left foot. Foot looks normal and does not feel cold to touch and looks feels same as right foot.
I get up walk round coldness goes get back to sleep and then after an hour or two same think happens. sensation of coldness stops me sleeping and I have to get out of bed.
I have to fly from London to XXXXXXX on wednesday and then fly from XXXXXXX to XXXXXXX on friday. Plan to see primary care physician early next week.
Currently only taking BP meds Amoldpine 5MG and Losartan 50 MG
Feel fire and no other symptoms.
What you think?

Brief Answer:
Possible Vascular disease of the foot?Need further evaluation.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I can certainly understand your concerns.

I have worked through your query in detail.

As per your history described, this probably represents Ischemic/Vascular cause leading to intermittent cold/insensate foot.

This requires an immediate evaluation well before your air travel.

For this, I advise you to get a Color Doppler Duplex Ultrasound of the arteries of lower limb. This will help to study the blood supply and blocks in circulation if any.

Further management if any is largely based on the test results.

Additional anticlotting medications may be considered based on the test results.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
