Question: Hi. I woke up from a nap and the bottom of my right foot was swollen on the right side on bottom. That was four hours ago. Now the whole sole is swollen and hard. A little numb too. Slight discoloration. What could this be and should I wait to go to a doctor in the am? Thank you!

Brief Answer:
Get investigated.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I have read your query.

You shouldn't ignore all this, and visit emergency room immediately.

It may be due to many reasons, foremost important is insect bite, which may be emergency, if associated with pain, redness, itching.

Otherwise, get serum uric acid, serum RA factor, and send me the report.

Get these tests only if no history of trauma.

Till then have tab. aceclofenac100mg+serratiopeptidase15mg thrice a day.

I hope it helps.

Thanks,
