Brief Answer:
Gross indigestion due to sedantry lifestyle.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

You have mentioned that you have a sedantry lifestyle so I would assume that you are fond of fast food colas etc., (please correct me if wrong in follow up).

Initially, I would say that have a practical approach as there is no magical formula, things will take time but they will help in the long term.

A drastic change in lifestyle is required. Not exercising enough, not drinking enough water eating unhealthy food are all responsible for your poor digestion.

Your diet should consist of unrefined food such as whole grain cereals, XXXXXXX honey and lentils, green leafy vegetables, like spinach, beans, lettuce, celery, asparagus, carrot.

For fats take omega three fatty acids use fish oil virgin olive oil for cooking.

Our gut consists of a number of good bacteria which help in proper digestion of food.Due to.long term indigestion and improper food habits these good bacterial colonies are replaced by bad bacteria, fungus and yeast.

These bad bacteria ferment the food you take and liberate large amount of gases which presses the intestines causing pain and inflammation. Inflammed intestine secrete mucous.

Pain in defecation is due to constipated ill formed stools.

Test suggested:
* Ultrasound abdomen
* Stool routine and sensitivity

Rx
* Take a probiotic daily.
* Take VSL#3 twice daily
* Take one fermented food like kefir kimchi curd etc with every meal.They are rich in good bacteria.

No pizza or fast food for 1 month.
* Take a liver supporting supplement like Sylimarin.
* External food digesting supplements should be taken for a month.

* No more then one cheat meal a week.
* Drink 8 glass water daily.
* 2 tsp of apple cider vinegar with 500 ml.of XXXXXXX warm water should be the first thing you take in morning.
* Have a cup of three mixed fruits every day.
* Eat green salad before dinner.

Things would become better in a few weeks. Yes you need to worry and consult a gastroenterologist.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks for the detailed response Sir.

I agree my sedentary lifestyle is the sole reason for my suffering. I do not take colas or drinks; but I did consume lots of fast food. I have binge eating problem/ disorder. Now, I am trying to overcome that.

Yesterday for continuously 6 hours, I was suffering from excruciating pain from 9:00 PM to 3:00 AM (IST). I had to visit the emergency ward of the nearby XXXXXXX XXXXXXX Hospital, XXXXXXX The doctor indicated that it might be a fissure problem. He suggested an ointment - ANOVATE and prescribed a painkiller - VOVERAN SR 100mg on my request.

I took 1 painkiller at 5:00 AM(IST); then only I was able to fall asleep; and have applied ointment twice, as of now.

He asked me to consult a Surgeon; which aggravated my concern.

I am now taking care of my eating habits. I do 30 min of exercise daily in the evening.

I am residing outside home for studies; and am dependent on outside food. So, I cannot afford to have home cooked food in Olive Oil. Instead, I am resorting to healthiest options I can think of.

Idlis in the morning as breakfast.
Curd Rice in the afternoon with papaya.
Mix fruit + vegetable fresh juice in the evening to replace dinner.

I weight around 103.8 kg, so I can afford to lose weight in the process.

I will try to consume Probiotic Curd every day.
I will get the suggested tests done tomorrow.

I need your opinion on the application of the ointment, as it contains steroids.

Do I need to consult a surgeon?

I am also taking Smuth L syrup to soften the stool, and Psyllium Husk to aid in the digestion. Do you advise otherwise?

Would you suggest specific supplements?

Many Thanks & Regards

Brief Answer:
Follow up.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

Yes, you should consult a surgeon to see if there is any ano-rectal anomaly. It could be proctitis which means inflammation of rectum. There is an inflammation in rectal muscles which cause severe pain in rectum and anal canal while defecating. Surgeon would use a proctoscope to examine anal canal. You can continue taking steroid as they are applied locally over anus so it has no side effect.

I would suggest you to take 10 gram isabghul husk in XXXXXXX warm water thrice a day.

Take probiotic BSL#3 twice daily.
On fitness fiber.

You would feel fine. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Thank you.
