Question : Yes I have swollen lip was chapped for four months, perhaps an allergy, just getting really frustrated , can you help the puffiness or fat upper lip is noticeable and the ENT gave me triamcinolone acetonide

Isolated Swelling of lip can be most likely to be allergic in origin ,secondary to contact with an allergen or food stuff.

Swollen or fat lip can be quite debilitating and painful.especially during drinking or swallowing food stuffs.

Avoid allergic food stuffs like nuts,sesame seeds,shell fish,dairy products etc.

Avoid contact with pollen and animal hair and danger.

Corticosteroids and Antihistamines are the main stay of therapy.

Triamcinolone along with desloratidine can produce excellent outcomes.

These drugs should be taken under strict medical supervision.

Home remedies like cold compress and aloe vera can offer good outcome.
