Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to health care magic,
I have read your query and understand the concern.
Thorn in finger can initiate an inflammatory reaction leading to light swelling and pain.
I would advise you to take anti-inflammatory drug (ibuprofen 400 mg) three times with anti-allergic drugs like levocetrizine 10 mg twice daily to reduce pain and swelling for symptomatic relief.
Both the drugs are available over the counter.
It is good that you have removed all the thorn with tweezer but try to see if a piece of thorn is left there or not.
Take tetanus toxoid injection intramuscularly for a safer side.
Wash the prick with antiseptic soap and water once and no need to be worry as it will subside within 1 or 2 days.
Hope this will help you.Feel free to ask if you have more questions.
Regards,
Dr.Sandip Kabra
