Brief Answer:
Likely to be due increased venous pressure / block

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
Welcome to HCM and thanks for your query.
I understand your concern.
The vein becoming distended indicates that the pressure inside it has increased. This can occur due to either a block or due to increase in venous pressure due to decreased pumping action of the heart.
It is advisable for you to see a doctor and have yourself examined and investigated if necessary.
Take care,
Dr Noble Zachariah
