Suggest Treatment For Swollen Blood Clot On Knee

Question: If I think I may have a blood clot to the right of my knee, it is swollen, not painful, soft,. It's 12:00 at night. Could I put ice on it, to wait till morning to go to mediquick? I have never had this so I don't know how serious it might be. I've been on my feet all day.
Brief Answer:
You can apply ice
Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have studied your case. There is no harm in applying ice over knee . Just remember that you should not massage it or rub this part. You should not manipulate your knee either. It is most probably knee synovitis and it will need x ray of the knee. Your doctor will give you NSAID and ckmpressikn bandage.
I do not think that it is a blood clot.Blood clot never causes sudden pain and it is usually involves calf and not knee.
I hope this answer will be useful for you. Let me know if there is any other followup questions. thanks
