Suggest Treatment For Swollen Face Post Dental Filling

default
Posted on Thu, 5 Feb 2015
Question: My husband went to the dentist today and had some fillings replaced. The dentist hit something because his face is all swollen. The color is normal, but he is in a lot of pain. His pain is in the top and bottom of his jaw, as well as his cheek bone. He said the pain seem to be getting worse and is not not even talking, because it hurts so much to move his mouth. We called the dentist he said he guess he must of hit a duct. Not sure what that is, but he said he will be fine and to rub it. Not sure if I should take him to get it looked at.

Brief Answer:
if still in pain and swollen, send him to dentist

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I am sorry for the situation your husband is in.

From what you are describing, possibly the tooth might have been infected or severely damaged.

If rubbing and anti inflammatory medications are not helping, then should get him checked by the dentist who did the filling.

Wish fast recovery!
