Question : Hi, Just had a quick question. As a child I had cat scratch fever and developed a swollen lymph node in my neck. Normally it is normal size, but about twice a year it gets painful and inflamed, especially during allergy season. It never grows over about an inch long and always goes returns to normal in a few days. I believe it is a superficial cervical lymph node. If I were to have it removed, what kind of dr would I schedule an appointment with, ENT, gen surgery, neck specialist? Thanks for your help.
Brief Answer:
ENT or Head and neck surgeon....
Detailed Answer:
Hi sir,
Lymph node enlargement is normal at times of acute inflammation. But if its troubling you, you can consult either an ENT surgeon or a head and neck surgeon and discuss about its removal.
Hope this answers your query.
