Posted on Wed, 26 Aug 2015
Question: I have what I would think was a swollen lymph node in my right armpit area, tender to the touch, started 3 days ago, and then starting 2 days ago my left nipple has the same symptoms. Would this be related to using a hot tub from the same time period?

Brief Answer:
Inflammation possible

Detailed Answer:
Dear patient,

lymph node swellings are mostly due to infections of different kinds. From your description it could be related to your breast swelling. I would usually do a thorough clinical examination, and draw blood for inflammation signs. Depending on the findings a therapy could include antibiotics or local antiseptic treatment. If lymph node swellings persist longer and no reason is found, sometimes it is recommendable to have the lymph node be taken out for further examination.

Hope this is helping you, best regards
