i have 2 swollen lymph nodes on the right side of my neck for three months. they are painless

In this location lymph nodes usually do get enlarged due to some infection like throat infection, ear infection, tooth infection. So if you do associate theirs enlargement with an infection, this is the most probable reason.
In some cases enlarged lymph nodes can indicate hematologic disease like lymphoma.
I assume that this lymph nodes disturb you. In such case it would be safe for you to consult hematologist, have nodes ultrasound done and consider biopsy.
