Suggest Treatment For Swollen Painful Clitoris Caused By Horse Riding
Question: I ride many horses every day (I'm a horse trainer - 8 a day). And I ride hard; these are not show horses, these are untrained stallions. My Clitorus is HUGE, swollen and painful. It feels like there is a huge marble in it. warm baths alleviate pain a little. is there anything i can do other than seeing a doctor?
I have not been sexually active in 3 months. (perfect relationship we're engaged- i'm in Florida for the winter). There is no discharge and nothing zit like about it. And of course i have no health insurance.

I have been riding since I was 5 years old.
This has never happened before. I've had maybe minor bruising before (almost like rough sex) but nothing that wouldn't resolve itself in 24 hrs. I'm not techi enough to do photos. Clitoris is Just three times it's normal size, most swelling/hardness is towards the top/cranial. Underwear is uncomfortable. Vulva/vagina is not affected, to my knowledge.
I think it originated form riding because I have been riding in a new saddle , but the swelling/pain/ deep painful marble has not happened before. Is this something that could resolve its self ? Or is my life at stake here? LOL, and I'M SUPPOSED TO HAVE A ROMANTIC VACATION WITH FIANCE ON THURSDAY!!!!!! If i do go to an obgyn w/ no insurance how much money am i looking at? I want to cry :'(

Well, your life is not at stake.
It sounds like a clitoral hematoma, due to bruising / injury from the new saddle.
Actually pictures will help, since you dont have insurance and short of me looking at the pictures, I cant help much.
YOu do not have to be technical at all.
Just take some photos of the area, and upload them on this page, there is a link on the top right hand corner in this conversation thread.
Atleast try doing that, it will help you, as it will help me have a confirmed diagnosis.
Avoid riding now, or further irritating the area.
Just give it cold ice compresses frequently.
Take hot water Sitz baths frequently.
It might go down on its own as the hematoma resolves, sometimes it gets infected and then medical attention and antibiotic treatment is required.
I have no idea how much an OB - GYN appointment would cost there, you could ask around.
Dont give up all hope, it might get better with rest and conservative treatment.

It looks as though it might require antibiotics and if oral antibiotics do not work, drainage with a knife might be in order.
That is the last ditch scenario I have mentioned.

Apply some Magsulf ointment over it to ease the swelling, if it is available there at the pharmacy.
