Brief Answer:
possible Injection neuropathy

Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome

I appreciate your concern

Based upon your description , it appears to be a case of injection neuropathy. Localized irritation and inflammation can also be present causing the pain /aching. Gabapentin, B 12 supplements and dexamethasone can be prescribed for two weeks in consultation with a neurologist. You should consult your doctor to examine the arm to look for possible neurological insult and refer you to a neurologist accordingly.

Wishing you best of health

Thanks

Hello.

It is an accidental injection induced nerve injury for which intramuscular injection (IM) is the most common injury cause. Symptoms can include radicular pain, numbness, limb weakness, loss of function and paresthesia.

Hello again.

Yes. You should go to a doctor. I am afraid home remedies will not make it better. You can continue with tylenol an ibuprofen for the pain relief.

Let me know if you have any query

Thanks

so its been a few hours now, the pain is minimal, the swelling has remained unchanged but not worsened and the blister has disappeared without a trace. Gee im glad i didnt spend the night waiting in emergency at the hospital, and relieved I didnt have to put myself at the mercy of ignorant people with harsh assumptions of a life they do not understand, nor try to. PS I have not said at Any time that i am taking tylenol for pain relief, and am s urprised frankly that you would even suggest it given that i clearly stated that i am very sensitive to pain medications and suffer allergic reactions to many, as upon googleing the drug i find its not recommended to those sensitive to medications or tending to allergies, furthermore that in the case of an allergic reaction the symtom would be a skin inflamation, rash, blistering etc! and just to add it also can be fatal when taken with more than 3 glasses of alcohol in one day- didnt i mention i am also an aloholic, consuming an average of 8 adult serves of alcohol daily. In assumption had i taken your advice i would be dead or close to it, so id just like to say thankyou very much your help, it was so worth the $15 i paid. Goodnite

Hello again.

Respected madam, I am sorry for your distress.

You did not mention

Alcohol intake
Allergy to sulfa drugs
Allergy to pain medication

Had you done that I could have addressed it accordingly. Tylenol is not recommended with alcohol and should be avoided if alcohol excess intake is an issue. Brufen is same as ibuprofen and both ibuprofen and Tylenol are safe drugs when taken in the right dose. As doctors we have to take many things into consideration and foremost rule out the most dangerous cause first. I hope you would understand.

Please let me know if you have any query , I would be more than glad to address it.
