Brief Answer:
Acute gastroenteritis

Detailed Answer:
Thanks for posting on HealthCareMagic.

Your child is probably suffering from gastroenteritis. Irrespective of the use of antibiotics, such episodes last for 3-5 days. The primary solution would be to keep the hydration maintained by replenishing for the salts and water lost. You need to frequently give the child Oral Rehydration Solution or ORS which can be prepared by mixing a full XXXXXXX into the designated amount of water (200ml or 1 litre depending upon the size of the packet). Since you have started bactoclav, please complete the course. Give the child Ondem MD (ondansetron, same as in emeset but mouth dissolving) 4 mg half a tablet half an hour before each feed. It will dissolve in the mouth and will help in preventing the vomiting out of the food. Also give plenty of curd or yogurt. It will replenish the beneficial bacteria that are otherwise present in the intestines but have been killed due to the action of the antibiotic (bactoclav). It will also help in reducing the diarrhoea. Giving zinc supplements like Zinconia syrup 5 ml twice daily for 3-5 days should also be helpful in enhancing the epithelial repair of the bowels. Take these measures and the child should soon be fine.
