Question : I noticed a discomfort when swallowing, today I looked in the mirror and I noticed a swollen area behind my left tonsil. I am very worried could it be cancer?

2. Usually, this would be the lateral pharyngeal band of lymphoid tissue normally present there.

4. Treatment will be as for a Pharyngitis.
