Question: greetings Dr XXXXXXX

I just want to inform you that after few days finishing taking that medication (Imodium), the problem associated with strange stomach noises persisted ( I hear many things scratching and making a lot sounds inside my stomach).

I've started to feel wanting to defecate after putting something in my stomach again but not very frequent like the last time..

so I don't know if It's parasitic problem or intestinal defect

many times the sounds are triggered by food or drink intakes

Brief Answer:
possible 'irritable bowel syndrome' IBS

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX

Thanks for writing in.

All your symptoms match with symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome. However , this is also a disease of exclusion. Do consult a gastroenterologist, who will diagnose you based on your history, symptoms, ,physical examination and investigations.

Maintain a food diary to see what kind of foods / liquids trigger the symptoms. Once u check the log on a regular basis , you might be able to find out the culprit or a pattern, and then avoid that item from your diet.

Stress is another reason for these symptoms. Do regular exercise 30 minutes a day 5 days a week. Exercise helps release endorphins, which produce a sense of well being. Yoga or meditation is also helpful to de-stress.

I hope this information was helpful to you.

Take care and regards,
Dr . Divya
