Question: I have been getting a feeling in my stomach that I need to clean it out.
How can I do this and is there anything wrong with me?

Hi Sir,
I understand your query and concern.
Your symptoms are of dyspepsia coupled with signs of acid reflux.
If this is a long term issue... You will need to evaluate yourself thoroughly through an upper gastrointestinal endoscopy followed by testing for H.pylori.
All cases of acid reflux have to be ruled out for H.pylori.
This can be tested by rapid Urease test. This is a screening test for H. Pylori.
I advise that you to elevate the head end of the bed by 30 degrees when you sleep.
Avoid solid food after 8 pm if possible. Eating before going to bed has a tendency to worsen these symptoms.
Brisk walk for 20 min a day for 5 days a week, will help control acid production and improve motility in the gut.
Complete H.pylori eradication is obtained through something called the 'OCM' regimen for 14 days. Its basically a course of antibiotics and other medications which have been shown to kill the bug.
Please note all these drugs have to be taken under strict medical prescription.

When symptomatic it produces burning sensation in the stomach with occasional bleeding into the gut due to duodenal ulceration.
