Brief Answer:
Continue lifestyle changes and consult cardiologist if it doesn't work

Detailed Answer:
Dear Sir,

Average blood pressure of 152/88 during 3 months is already indicates Arterial hypertension.

In your age if you don't have other diseases you don't have high cardiovascular risks, so you can try lifestyle modifications. It is good that you have cut back salt and caffeine.
Also you should quit smoking if you smoke, lose weight if you are overweight, do moderate physical activity at least 4 times a week for 40 minutes.

And I would advise you blood tests for kidney (urea, creatinine), thyroid tests, serum electrolytes, fasting serum glucose for ruling out hypertension from other causes (secondary hypertension). It is desired to undergo abdomen ultrasound.
Also don't forget to check lipid levels

If after 2 months your blood pressure still > 140/90, I would advise you to consult a cardiologist for prescribing medications

Hope I could help you

Please, let me know if you have further questions

so basically if i understand you correctly the life style changes are a step in the right direction but i need a more assertive approach to following your recommendations and getting these tests done. this seems to be a little more serious than i thought, i thought my blood pressure was just high because i had abit of extra stresss in life. i can see where thats not the case and i thank you for your input and i will follow up with your suggestions
