Question : I am feeling like I am catching a cold. Sore throat, headache, stuffy nose. What can I do so it doesnt get worse?
Also, I am a flight attendant and had to call out of work to prevent getting more sick or getting anyone else sick. Is there a way you can provide me with a doctor note to cover my absence?

Thank you for contacting HCM with your health care concerns
You are currently starting to contact a cold. unfortunately there is no medication that will help stop a cold. If you have fever chills and body aches you may have influenza and then there are medications that can help reduce the length of the flu. If not then you have a garden variety of cold and nothing will help stop it.
You can treat the symptoms of a cold. I usually recommend afrin nose spray for 3 days to help reduce nasal congestion, Delsym cough syrup to help stop the cough and tylenol for muscle pain. Also sleep rest and plenty of fluids will help.
We can not give doctor's excuses through this forum. You would need to see a medical provider either your PCP or and urgent care doctor to get your work excuse.
