Question: Just curious, sometimes, in bed, I have an odd sensation in my brain. It is rather as if someone has plucked a wire similar to a guitar string. A little like a "ping" and then it has gone??? Happens occasionally and on one occasion, twice in one night?

Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam!

Welcome to HealthcareMagic.

I understand your concern.It would be good if I get more details about your pain.
There could be few possibilities which comes to my mind,those are;

Small seizures,Certain structural abnormalities in the brain,Underlying medical conditions like thyroid diseases, vitamin deficiencies,Inner ear disorder,stress related or idiopathic.

Please see a doctor , if the frequency increases and go for an Electroencephalogram and a CAT scan brain to rule out any brain disorder.

Hope this helps.Feel free to ask more.
