Brief Answer:
Possibility of Oral candidosis

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us

I have taken note of your query and I have also reviewed the Image.

I can see an inflammed, red patch on buccal mucosa and some whitish areas..

I suggest a likely possibility of oral candidiasis/ candidosis..

I would suggest a mouthwash/ oral rinse, twice or thrice daily preferably a chlorhexidine gluconate based oral rinse OR betadine oral rinse..

Regards

Hi its still there this morning, maybe slightly less red. But another patch of red has come slighly near it closer to lip side. How long to you think this will take to go?
Just worried it doesnt look like cancer in any way. Just cant find anything similar on net.s

Brief Answer:
Add clotrimazole mouth paint

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Continue with antiseptic Oral rinse.
You may add a generic/ OTC clotrimazole 1% mouth paint. Clotrimazole is an antifungal agent and would help in faster resolution.
Use it after oral rinse, thrice daily.
Put in a few drops of antifungal mouth paint and smear it all over mucosa with your tongue.
The involvement should reduce considerably in 3-5 days.

I forgot to say I've had geographic tongue
For years. Could it be that that suddenly move to inside cheek as they are ringed shapes with normal white inside

Brief Answer:
Ectopic geographic tongue is a possibility though unlikely

Detailed Answer:
Hi.

Though geographic tongue commonly involves tongue, however, geographic like appearance can rarely involve other oral mucosa as well i.e ectopic geographic tongue.
However, the classical geographic appearance consists of a central erythematous area which is bordered by a well demarcated white raised rim. Whereas what you have is not exactly like this.
Nevertheless, it is another possibility. However, candida is still my first differential diagnosis.
