Question: I had conservative casting last July thru sept..then splint...then short wrist ect..lots of pt. Still have ulnar side pain and pain at different positions especially lifting. Arthoscopic surgery March 17 for a complete internal look. I think they missed a slit tendon and partial tear ECU...and or TFCC? What say you?

Brief Answer:
There is a possibility that they might have missed a tear.

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Thank you for reverting back .

Well its sorry to hear that your problem is still persisting , I read our previous conversation also . Yes I agree with you that there is a possibility that they had missed on to something since MRI wrist was not done and soft tissue injuries are really difficult to diagnose .

Arthroscopic surgery will be helpful in determining the exact situation and in my opinion you should go for it . But keep your sugar levels in control prior to this as in diabetics healing can be an issue so better be on safe side . Any other concern let me know .

Thank you. My diabetes has gone from 11.2 to 7.5 . I had influenza A in January that moved into my lungs. Treated at mayo and all clear now. Mayo is where my procedure is scheduled. I guess I am just nervous. It would be really nice to ski, ride a bike, fish. Etc. Again. I likely will touch base following it. I appreciate your kind encouragements. Have a great weekend. :)
