Suggest Treatment For Symptoms Of Spondyloarthritides

Question: Hi there,
My poop occasionally smells like vomit. I get tired easily while normally in great shape. I have had lower back pain and sacroiliac pain on and off every 2 -3 month and lasting 1-2 months in duration for the past year. Back pain is preceded by crackling noises coming from my spine 1-2 weeks before. Feels like my connective tissue is loosening up causing my spine to misalign. It is strange because it is cyclic. This all Started following the flu last year with which was later followed by a rash on my abdomen lasting 3 months. Could this be a virus or bacteria causing this?
Any ideas?

Brief Answer:
Spondyloarthritides group of disorders

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.

It seems you are having spondyloarthritides that primarily affects the axial skeleton (spine ,sacroiliac jonts).
In 5% of patients, symptoms begin after age 40.
Pain tends to be persistent early in the disease and then becomes intermittent, with alternating exacerbations and quiescent periods (cyclic as in your case).

Axial spondyloarthritis includes early or mild forms that do not meet classical criteria for Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) .

It may have overlapping features with reactive arthritis like arthritis preceded by viral infection (all started following the flu last year).

HLA-B27 is present in 80–90% of patients ; Erythrocyte sedimentation rate (ESR) and C-reactive protein (CRP) are often, but not always, elevated.

Active sacroiliitis is best visualized by dynamic MRI with fat saturation.

I would advise you to undergo HLA B27,ESR , C-reactive protein and MRI spine.
