Brief Answer:
might be due to ulnar nerve irritation

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query.

Shock like feeling in the ring finger might be a symptom of ulnar nerve entrapment.
Ulnar nerve is one of the three main nerves of the arm. It travels from neck down in arms, behind the elbow and ends in hand.
The nerve can be compressed or irritated in several points but most common it get compressed in the wrist and behind elbow.

Several activities that require a position with bent elbows or sleeping with bent elbows can trigger the symptoms ,which consist in shock like feelings, numbness ,weakness, tingling sensation in the ring finger and and little finger.

You should try to keep the arm stretch ,and keep your elbow straight at night when you are sleeping.
Take Ibuprofen twice a day for some days and see what happens.
If the symptoms persist more then 1-2 weeks ,you should consult your physician for examination.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubts to clarify.I will be happy to help.

Kind regards,
