Question : I went to the doctor and he said i have sacks of spinal fluid next to my disk. I'm not sure how seiorus this can be. Is it possible to have nerve damage if they get larger and how do they develop?

Your Doctor probably meant that there are synovial cysts found in your spine.

A synovial cyst is a fluid-filled sac that develops as a result of degeneration in the spine.

It may cause spinal stenosis, but generally it is a benign condition.

When no or mild to moderate symptoms ( mainly pain ), follow up, painkillers and physical activity restrictions are the treatment modalities.

If significant symptoms, spine surgery ( decompression and fusion ) is necessary.
