Brief Answer:
Seems like syphilis ulcer in case you have been sexually active

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for using HCM to post your question.

I saw your picture carefully and I understand your concern.

The lesion seems like a ulcer from syphilis or another sexually transmitted infection, because it is not typical for a aphtous ulcer. Have you been involved in oral sex recently, with someone you don't know well? Is it painful?

If the above statement doesn't stand, and you haven't been sexually active recently, then you can treat it as a common ulcer:
-- Good oral hygiene its recommended.
-- Use a good antiseptic mouthwash and you can apply an oral cream for the pain that you can find in the local pharmacy
-- Stop smoking or chewing tobacco in case you do it.

Let me know more information, so I can address it differently if I haven't missed anything.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako

Brief Answer:
Please get done the necessary tests first, treatment recommended.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thank you for the follow-up question.

First of all, You need to do the tests, because individuals who have one sexually transmitted infection may have chance of another underlying infection.

Chlamydia and gonorrhea by specimen from the urethral secretions.
HIV and syphilis (VDRL), HepB (if you haven't been vaccinated) and Hep C in the blood.

If you have other symptoms as well, then you can take a treatment after you have given the samples for the tests, and before you take the results. We call if empiric treatment...so we treat the problem, if the person has the symptoms.

Take Azithromycin 2 gm, single dose because it covers syphilis, chlamydia and gonorrhea (please get the necessary prescription from your local physician).
Use condoms regularly and safe sex.

Hope this is helpful.
Let me know if you need more clarifications.

Regards,
Dr. Papaqako
